Beaman Family, Breads And Other Carbs
2 c. sifted flour
4 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. 7-Up
Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening.
Add 7-Up all at once.
Stir briskly with fork until even.
Turn onto lightly floured surface.
Knead quickly eight or ten times
Roll 3/4 inch thick and allow to rest a minute
Cut out, brush with melted butter and bake at 450 degrees until brown.
